Announcing the 2023 Granum Prize Longlist

November 6, 2023 — We are delighted to announce the longlist for the 2023 Granum Foundation Prize.

The Granum Foundation Prize was established to help U.S.-based writers complete substantive literary works and to help launch these works. Funding is meant to provide a writer with the tools, time, and freedom to help ensure their success.

This year, we received more than 1,100 applications from 49 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C., and the standard of work was exceptionally high among the entries. The longlist represents roughly the top 5% of entries from all genres.

The shortlist will be made available next Monday, and the winner and finalists will be announced on November 17, 2023. Finalists for the Granum Foundation Translation Prize also will be announced soon. Applications for our next round of prizes are expected to open in May, 2024.
